Karen Fairchild on a track of Dustin Lynch’s ‘Current Mood’
American country musician Dustin Lynch’s new album ‘Current Mood’ is due to be launched on 8th September 2017. During the recent party to introduce the new record in his hometown, Tennessee narrated a rather wonderful story behind the track ‘Love Me or Leave Me Alone’. It was related to how the Little Big Town’s member Karen Fairchild had managed to put her voice on this track. Talking about it, Dustin Lynch said:
“We would get on Luke’s bus. He was working on his new album — which I heard yesterday on his bus in New Hampshire and it’s rockin’! — and Little Big Town was working on their new album. We’d get on Luke’s bus every couple weeks and be like, ‘Let’s play some demos!’”
“I played… this demo, and Karen Fairchild heard it and said, ‘Man, play that for me one more time.’ So I played it again and then they wanted it again, and I’m like, ‘This really cool. They actually dig the song…’”
The next move and words from Karen Fairchild took Dustin by surprise. She said:
“Karen looked up and she goes, ‘I’m gonna cut off your balls if you don’t let me sing this with you on your album,’”
Dustin idolizes Karen and he readily said yes. Hence on this song, Karen has sung with Dustin and it has come out very amazing and unique.
