She joined the station in 1996 first as a reporter. She was also the producer of the show AM/Philadelphia. She then joined the Accuweather team and realized that her real interest lay in it.
Besides news, Karen also anchors FYI Philly which is a fun-filled weekly entertainment show which is broadcast every Saturday at 6abc at 7 pm.

I remember being nervous about going off to school, but seeing him made me feel like everything was going to be ok. All these years later, he still gives me that same feeling. The sound of his voice can completely turn around a bad day. He believes in me, even more, than I believe in myself. Most importantly, he makes me a better person. When I was young, I’m not sure if I understood how important those qualities would be. We’ve been through a lot together and I’m so glad to I’ve had Kevin right by my side.”

They are a happy couple. They share three children. One of her children a daughter had a hearing impairment and at the age of 7 she was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes, she says on her Facebook page.
