Kendrys chose to leave Florida to establish foreign residency as so to avoid the MLB draft, He left for the Dominican Republic. Kendrys was privately looking up Major League Teams. He ended up signing with Preston Gomez for US$ 3 million for 6 years From December 2004.
Professional Career
Minor League Career
In Spring 2005 Kendrys was supposed to play for Angels in the Cactus League to get set for a quick rise through their farm system or possibly the team-specified hitter. But He was not a citizen of the Dominican yet. So he flew back to the US for a few months.
On May 21, He debut in Minor League. He become a star player in Angels and three weeks later he moved up to Double-A Arkansas and was second on the team to hit most home runs after playing half of the season. Angels choose Kendrys to play at Arizona Fall League.
Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim

In 2006 Kendrys went through intense training during spring but he didn’t make it to the 25-man roaster. On May 23, 2006, Kendrys debuted in Major League against the Texas Rangers while playing first base and hit a home run second at-bat.
2009 Season
The 2009 Season was the breakout season for Kendrys. He played extremely well in his first season.
He had 34 home runs and slugged 569 rankings second in AL. Kendrys was upheld to the first baseman after Angels’ first baseman Mark Teixeira.
He played well in the first half of the season but the second half of the season was extraordinary and was named player of the month in August.

2010 Season

Kendrys’ Landing cause him an injury which led him to lower left leg surgery. He was immediately listed as in disabled player and with this, he missed his 2010 Season.
2011 Season
Kendrys missed his 2011 Season too due to his ankle complication which cause him while he was in the rehabilitation of his left leg surgery
2012 Season
In March 2012 after 2 years of a leg injury, Kendrys returned to the spring training game. In April he hit his first home run after his return. On July 23, he become of the three MLB players to ever hit a home run with both of his hands- left and right in the same inning.
Seattle Mainers
Angels traded Kendrys to Seattle Mainers for American Pitcher Jason Vargas on December 19, 2012. In the 10th inning against Oakland Athletics on June 23, 2013, Kendrys hit his first pitch three home runs.
In August 2013, Kendrys was claimed by an unknown team from Seattle Mainers but he was not traded by the team. And within 48 hours of the claim Mainers get him back by the unknown claim.
On September 4, while playing against Kansas City Royals, Kendrys in his ninth-inning hit a walk-off home run and the Seattle Mainers won the game.
Minnesota Twins
Kendrys in his 2013 season declined Seattle Mainers’ offers and remained unsigned during opening day. After that, on June 8, 2014, Kendrys agreed on an offer with the Minnesota Twins on a one-year contract and an allocation portion of $12 million, worth $7.4 million approximately.
Return to Seattle Mariners
After a year of contract with the Twins, Kendrys traded back to Mariners in exchange for American pitcher Stephen Pryor.
Kansas City Royals

In December 2014 Kendrys signed a contract with Kansas City Royals for 2 years worth $17million.
