Kenny released his first demo album in 1989. The album was sold around 1,000 copies. The money he earned from the song, he bought a new guitar, moved to Nashville where he performed at several local clubs.
Then he was signed with Capricorn Records. He released his debut album In My Wildest Dreams in April 1994, which sold approximately 10,000 copies.
After that, he signed with BNA Records and released his second album All I Need to Know in 1995.
His studio albums are All I Want for Christmas Is a Real Good Tan (2003), Be as You Are (2005), The Road and the Radio (2006), Lucky Old Sun (2008), Cosmic Hallelujah (2016), Songs for the Saints (2018).
