Courtney Thorne-Smith’s life starts on 8 November 1967 when she was born in San Francisco, California to Walker Smith and Lora Thorne. Her father was a computer market researcher while her mother worked as a therapist. Courtney was raised in Menlo Park, South to San Francisco. When Courtney was seven years old, her parents divorced and were awarded joint custody of their child. Courtney had stayed with both her parents are different times. She also has an older sister named Jennifer who works as an advertising executive.
Courtney studied at the Menlo Park High School situated at Atherton in California. She completed her school graduation from Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley, CA in 1985. Courtney also ventured into the television and did acting in Growing Pains, Fast Times, and TV films such as The Thanksgiving Promise and Infidelity. She was also cast in 6 episodes of LA Law. In this, she played the character of Laker Girl named Kimberly Dugan.
But her fame came when she played the role of Alison Parker in Melrose Place (1992-1997). She was also cast in 1995 in Beauty’s Revenge.
