On the 4th of June 2018, David and Liza uploaded a video revealing that they had broken up 6 months ago. They further went on to explain their relationship in detail adding they were ‘going through some stuff’.

At first, both of them were all smiles and David joked

‘Liza cheated on me! There were seven guys and I found them in her bedroom!’

He then went on to say:

We are broken up. Liza broke up with me six months ago. It wasn’t healthy for us to continue to be together.’

Liza too told about the decision to wait 6 months before sharing the sad news with their fans.

“We wanted to heal first. We wanted to give ourselves some time to come to an understanding and be able to be best friends and be in each other’s lives still without being in a romantic relationship and still be able to create online.”

She also added in an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert:

“For those six months, we took that time for ourselves to grow. And to create, still, together and show the world that you can be friends, that you can still be in love.”
