Who is Drake?

One year back there was this great and happy news that Canadian singer Drake and the band Trouble would be collaborating on a new song and it is learned that the song is here now! The track is called ‘Bring It Back’ and has been produced by American record producer, Mike Will Made-It. Drake had this to say about the new track:

“Yeah, I don’t play no games boy, I’m at your head/All about the family, niggas took the pledge/Now you gotta own up to that shit you said/You can’t push us to the edge, Trouble from the edge/Hit the gas and we outta there/Do it for the six because we started there.”

Mike had earlier disclosed that he and Trouble had recorded the song in a couple of days. It is not sure whether the track would be on the new Trouble album. Mike also elaborated on Drake’s role in the song. He said:

“I let Drake hear it, and Drake was like, ‘Yo, this song is crazy,’ and he ended up hopping on that joint, smoking that joint.”

There is also a video done for this song and Mike said:

“We shot the video and everything. We’re just trying to make sure the project is all the way ill and complete and done.”

Drake: Birth Facts, Childhood, Parents, and Career

Drake was born as Aubrey Drake Graham on 24 October 1986 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is 31 years old. He hails from a family of musicians. His father, Dennis Graham was an African-American and worked as a drummer. His paternal uncles were also in the music field. His mother, Sandi Graham worked as a florist and an English teacher. Drake has been a student of a local Jewish school. His parents were divorced when he was just 5. After the divorce, Drake continued to stay with his mother in Canada while his father returned to Memphis. Drake used to play sports such as hockey in his childhood.

He studied at the Forest Hill Collegiate Institute where he developed his passion for arts and acting. He was later at the Vaughan Road Academy. He was bullied here and could not spare time for regular school due to his rising acting career. Hence he decided to drop out of school and pursued his studies later on to obtain a graduate degree in 2012.

His career started with an acting role in Canadian teen drama series called ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’. This work was supposed to support the family. Drake had said:

“My mother was very sick. We were very poor like broke. The only money I had coming in was off of Canadian TV”.

He worked in the show till 2007 but in the meantime, he also started his singing career. He released his debut mixtape in 2006. He released his second mixtape in 2007 and the third in 2009. The mixtapes were a success and Drake’s demand in the market soared high. He signed with Young Money Entertainment. He started his tours and these also were successful.

He released his debut album in 2008. He went on to release several songs and albums which were well-received and earned him a spot among the top singers of the world. He also acted in between and had also landed in some controversies and feuds.

Drake: Personal Life and Relationships

Drake is a lady’s man and had dated several famous females in the industry. He had dated Rihanna in 2010 and they had an on-again and off-again relationship. This is said to have continued till 2016. Drake was also in a relationship with Tyra Banks in 2013. But it was a short-lived romance. In 2014, Drake was close to Nicki Minaj. Like Rihanna, Drake’s relationship with Nicki has been rocky and intermittent.

In 2015, Drake was close to Karruche Tran. Drake also had gone out of his field onto the tennis court and was said to be dating Serena Williams. But this relationship also did not work out. The same year in 2016, he was said to be involved with Taylor Swift. He was also with Jennifer Lopez and had posted her picture with him on his Instagram. It is not known who his girlfriend is in 2017.
