LeBron James defends TNT reporter
Erin Popovich, wife of the San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich died on 18/4/2018 after a prolonged battle with a respiratory illness. The nature of the disease has not been elaborated on. But it has been reported that she was unable to attend major events and travel due to it. She has been suffering from the ailment since the 1990s.
TNT reporter Allie LaForce had posed a question to LeBron James on this issue asking him his reaction to the news. This sparked a lot of criticism and there was an online backlash against the reporter. Many felt that it was unprofessional and uncomfortable for the player to be asked to answer these questions. On learning about it, LeBron James immediately came to the rescue of the reporter. He said that he was not blindsided and was aware of the reporter going to put him this question during his interview.
