She gave a start to her career from the Broadway plays The Patriots at the age of six. Leslie depicted the character of Maria Borges in an American sitcom, Head of the Class, in 1986 where she appeared alongside Hollywood icon, Brad Pitt. She appeared in the series for more than 68 episodes.

She was then cast in the crime-drama, C-16: FBI. For her previous works, she has appeared in three episodes of the highly successful crime-drama TV series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She depicted the role of Tony Soprano’s mistress, Valentina La Paz, in the critically acclaimed crime-drama television series, The Sopranos. She has also made some guest appearances in numerous television series, including CSI: NY, Nip/Tuck, and American Dad!.
