Luke Halpin is a former American actor and he is best known for his role as Sandy Ricks in the film ‘Flipper’ directed by James B. Clark and produced by Ivan Tors.

Luke also made his several stage roles such as in the TV special ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ in 1957, where he played Mary martin’s younger brother. He appeared in ‘Take Me Along’ from 1959 to 1960.
He made his appearance in a TV broadcast of ‘Waiting For Godot’ in 1961 with Burgess Meredith and Zero Mostel. He also appeared on ‘To Tell The Truth’ on March 30, 1964.
Luke made his reputation more after he was picked to star in the film ‘Flipper’ in 1963. At that time, he was 15 years old and he was picked to portray the role of the 12-year-old Sandy Ricks. He played the role of Chuck Connors in the film. The film became a major success and spawned a sequel, ‘Flipper’s New Adventures’ in 1964. The sequel also became a highly successful TV series. The series could not continue its episodes and finally closed.
Later, he appeared in the films like ‘Island of the Lost’ in 1967, as Keith in ‘Shock Waves’ in 1977, as Ben Cabot. Jr.‘Bracken’s World’ in 1969 and his notable later appearance was in the television movie ‘The Ordeal of Dr. Mudd’ in 1980.

“cut-down blue jeans.”
The guest who came for the interview were expecting to fool the interviewers but Luke told the truth. He often appeared stripped down to just cutoff jeans during the filming of ‘Flipper’.
