Maria began her career with CNBC and this was in January 1993 when she joined the network as a TV journalist and was with them until November 2013. She was with CNN after 5 years of work with CNBC and on this network, she was producer and writer of several top business programs.
Maria then joined Fox News Channel and she was a journalist here from 2014 to 2015. For less than one year in 2014-2015, Maria served as a journalist for USA Today. Maria took over as the anchor Global Markets Editor at the Fox News Network in February 2014 and is continuing on this post to date.
