Moraes also had a battle against Josh Hill at the World Series of Fighting 13 on September 13, 2014, to defend his prior championship.

Fortunately, Moraes submitted in the second round using a rear-naked choke.
To defend his WSOF Bantamweight Championship at WSOF 18 in Edmonton, Alberta, Moraes later faced Josh Hill in a rescheduled bout on February 12, 2015.

Moraes successfully defended his WSOF Bantamweight Championship by way of a unanimous decision.
In the same spirit, Marlon fought Sheymon Moraes on August 1, 2015, at WSOF 22.
He used a rear-naked choke in the third round to finish out his opponent and keep his position as the WSOF Bantamweight Champion.
The WSOF Bantamweight Championship was once again in Moraes’ control after his technical knockout victory against Joseph Barajas at WSOF 28 on February 20, 2016, which was brought on by leg kicks.
