Martha Stewart pays tribute to her 6 pet peacocks which were killed by a group of coyotes- RIP beautiful Blueboy!!!

Martha Stewart mourns the loss of her 6 peacocks that were cleverly devoured by the pack of coyotes in her Connecticut compound. She posted a very sad post on social media (Instagram) saying that coyotes attacked them in broad daylight.

“RIP beautiful Blueboy. The coyotes came in broad daylight and devoured him and five others including the magnificent White Boy”

Looks like, among the 6 peacocks, her favorite one was Blueboy. She mentions that along with Blueboy he ate the other five. It also included a magnificent White Boy. There were 6 large and very aggressive coyotes who made their very expensive meal with her peacocks. Also said that coyotes have expensive taste in terms of poultry and they are pretty unsafe to leave them outside open.

“Any solutions for getting rid of six large and aggressive coyotes who have expensive tastes when it comes to poultry??”

She further said that she is no longer leaving her peacocks outside in the yard that way. She is going to add them in a wired covered fence and also a roof, like a zoo. Moreover. Martha is pretty sad about the incident that happened.

“We are no longer allowing the peafowl out of their yard, we are enclosing the top of their large yard with wire fencing, etc. and by the way, I do not have any idea how the Marvin Gaye music found its way to this sad post but when Blue Boy was alive it would have been perfectly appropriate”

Definitely, it’s a huge loss for anyone, it seems like it is very difficult to protect these species when are left in an open yard. Obviously, there should be many precautions for their protection.

Looks like Connecticut is highly common in coyotes. Not just that even, Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has warned everyone that coyotes are pretty common throughout the state. They have further advised everyone to be careful of the attacks as it is quite dangerous.

They have also created a lot of awareness regarding the coyotes and listed some tips on dealing with them. It also says to never allow any pets to be in public places, especially during the night, coyotes attack better.

It looks like Stewart was unaware of these kinds of dangers and also preventions in Connecticut state. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have set her precious peacocks free and protected them from those aggressive peacocks.

In November 2021, Martha posted a picture of her peacocks liberating them in daylight. She said that she has liberated them after being caged for almost 2 years. She wanted to give the peacocks freedom in daylight but the opposite happened. Instead, coyotes took advantage of the situation.

“Finally the peacocks and Peahens are liberated!!! Having been confined for two years in a half-acre enclosure I decided to grant them daylight freedom- aka the run of the farm !”

“Until they have to return at twilight to their secure Palais for the night when the wild predators make the rounds of the chicken coops , pigeon house and geese yard”

Her intention was good!! She also wrote that she is securing them from the predators at night but then they attacked in the broad daylight.

Moreover, peacocks are very friendly, social, and clean animals and they are very welcoming everywhere and they are very beautiful.
