She was the morning news anchor with WLUW-FM Chicago from 1991 to 1992. She then was with Detroit-based TV station WJBK-TV and CBS-owned radio station WWJ (AM) for 3 years. It was her first stint in front of the camera. From 1995 to 1997, she was with WJRT-TV Flint, Mich. Here, she covered the Oklahoma City bombing and the Decker farm raid. She was with CBS Newspath from 1997 to 2002. She was in Chicago and had covered Bill Clinton’s impeachment, Kosovo crisis, and the release of US servicemen in Albania.
