Who is Susan Mikula?

Meteorologist Cheryl Scott has only been in Chicago for five years. She is now one of the most recognized and best-loved news personalities. 5 ft 6 inches tall Scott was born on January 29, 1985, in Atco, New Jersey. With a course in geological science, she graduated from Brown University and in 2007 received her diploma. In 2010, from the Mississippi State University, she owned a meteorology certificate.

At a very young age, she even wrote a book called ‘I plan to become a meteorologist’. It seems she was born to become a meteorologist. During her spare time, she enjoys playing outdoor games as sports have always been a part of her life.

Living her dream

Cheryl Scott actually became fascinated with the weather when she was little stemming from her favorite childhood movie, The Wizard Of Oz. The Tornado scene of that movie sparked her interest and all through grade school she was interested in summer and winter storms. We can not forget about her book which she wrote in grade 8, ‘I plan to become a meteorologist’. She is very lucky fortunate to be following her dreams and working as a meteorologist in Chicago.

It was quite difficult for her, in the beginning, doing weather on camera LIVE. She had no journalism or broadcast background. She had to teach herself from scratch how to talk for television. With immense practice though, it became easier.

Cheryl Scott Professional Career

In December 2014, Meteorologist Cheryl Scott joined ABC 7 Eyewitness News, Chicago’s station for news. The ABC 7 News Director described her as “an experienced and knowledgeable meteorologist who enjoys the challenge of forecasting Chicago’s unpredictable weather.”

From NBC 5 Scott joined ABC 7. As a weekend meteorologist, she worked for NBC and when Knoxville was ruined by tornadoes in April 2011, She was on the air. She updated viewers on storm developments which provided critical safety information to the viewers. Following the disaster, she volunteered to work with the Red Cross.

As an intern at WCAU-NBC10, Cheryl Scott began her career in Philadelphia. Later she joined at WSEE-TV in Eire in 2007 as a Television lad and at the same, Cheryl served as a 24-hour weather reporter for a Caribbean Weather Station. She is on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross in Regional Leadership

Cheryl Scott is active about her career and professional life in social media which has left many viewers to think about her personal life and current relationship status.

She has drawn a lot of attention because of her outstanding TV presentation skills. Cheryl Scott prefers remaining quiet about her personal life. She has been able to maintain a low profile regarding this. The suspected couple were seen traveling and doing things together.  We can assume that “Josh Lachelli” as her current boyfriend. But as there has not been any proof about this matter we can’t be sure about it.

There was a rumor about her and Patrick Sharp (a married Canadian ice hockey player). They were allegedly linked up with Scott for having sex and infidelity. However, Cheryl and Patrick addressed the rumors as false and completely false. Regarding this matter, she went on twitter and posted about truth.

Sharp also denied the rumors and expressed that it stressed him and his family a lot. In an interview with Chicago SunTimes, Sharp quoted:

“It is laughable, it’s comical, but when it affects your family, when you’ve got two little girls at home and your parents are calling you, it takes a toll.”

She got engaged to her boyfriend Dante Diana while on a vacation in Hawaii in July 2018. The two had been dating for the past two years after meeting at a charity event. Further wedding plans of hers have not yet been shared.
