Lisa and Lena’s rise to stardom
Lisa and Lena created their account on the music app, Musical.ly in the summer of 2015. They started uploading their videos of lip-syncing and dancing to popular songs. Their first video was a 6 seconds black and white rendition of Anna Graceman’s song ‘Treble Heart’ which they uploaded on Instagram in December 2015.
The twin sisters had started posting videos just for fun but now do it regularly and professionally after their songs were liked by many viewers. They are said to work on these videos for a bare 20 minutes per day which is unbelievable! Happy and excited at this new-found fame, the sisters told StyleCaster reporter:
“The whole world started connecting with us, and the famous companies and persons [sic] like to work with us.” Also, when they travel, “people on the street in many countries know us.”
The twins gradually started making more sophisticated videos and included lighting, choreographed moves, and matching and elegant outfits to get a more positive impact. They soon started getting more fan base. Their Musical.ly channel presently has more than 22 million followers and their Instagram has more than 11 million fans. The twin sisters are famous not only in Germany but also globally.
The sisters used to model for a German company called OCFM GmbH owned by German businessman Oliver Stefanovic. It is for their clothing line named ‘Compose’. This line sells sweatshirts, T-shirts, bomber jackets, hats, and much more.
With their experience in cutting and designing which they have been doing since the age of 11 years, the twins started their own merchandise line called as ‘Dream it or do it’ which they launched in December 2016. They sell in this store apparel, gym bags, phone cases, and accessories and hairstyles.
