British boxer Amir Khan, 30 whose marriage was in the doldrums since the past few months has ultimately announced on the social media that he and his wife Faryal Makhdoom have called it quits. He told his fans about his Snapchat:
“Me and Faryal are not together. I have filed for a divorce,”
Amir Khan’s Twitter handle had previously released such statements before but later he had said that those were not his tweets explaining that his Twitter account had been hacked into. Faryal had earlier tweeted on September 8, 2017, about her pregnancy. She had written:
“Morning sickness you suck!!”

Amir Khan also said that Faryal had not told him about his pregnancy. He told:
“She didn’t tell me. I had to read it on social media.”
Amir Khan further said:
“I’m always going to be there for my kids if we’re not married,” he continued. “We’re not together but my kids are everything to me. I don’t know if it’s true that she is pregnant or not, time will tell, but in the meantime I’m there for Lamaisah. She’s everything to me. If there is another kid then I am going to be there to show my support and be there for Faryal, but we both think it’s not healthy to be together.”
What is ailing their marriage?
Amir Khan and Faryal came to know each other through a mutual friend. They started dating and tied the knot in May 2013 in a lavish wedding ceremony at Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York which was attended by more than 1000 guests. But since the start, allegations of infidelity have plagued the union. Daughter Lamisah was born in 2014.
A sex tape of Amir was leaked online on a US porn website which led to trouble in this marriage in which he was seen performing a sex act on himself while talking to a model on the Skype. It was supposedly made a few weeks after his wedding to Faryal. Faryal was disgusted but put on a united front with her husband. More cheating by Amir Khan surfaced on several occasions and rocked their marriage.
There was also some family feud when Faryal uploaded her selfie on her Instagram where she was presumed to be wearing minimal clothes. Amir’s conservative Muslim parents were disappointed. Faryal revolted and it resulted in a bitter fight between families of both sides. Amir was estranged from his parents and brother, Haroon.
In August 2017, Amir had also started suspecting that his wife is with his fellow boxer Anthony Joshua. This was followed by an exchange of nasty tweets and allegations were thrown to and fro. Anthony soon responded and clarified that he has not even met Faryal and hoped that their marital conflict ends soon.
Amir Khan in Dubai
Amir Khan was seen in Dubai during the time that he announced about his divorce from his wife. He was at a concert at The Dome in Dubai Sports City and left the venue with a mystery brunette woman with his hand at the rear of this woman. A spectator said:
“She was with him all night. They were holding hands, cuddling and kissing. They were very intimate.”
Amir has been linked with Pakistan brunette model Alyzeh Gabol after he put a birthday wish for her on his Instagram. Love-filled messages have been exchanged between the two on their social media. Alyzeh Gabol is a single mother who will debut in Bollywood in December with her movie ‘Rangreza’.
