Sweet Brown’s Original Video
Sweet Brown or Kimberly Wilkins is an Oklahoma City resident who shot to fame following her interview on local news station KFOR News Channel 4 (an NBC affiliate).
It was a hilarious two-minute video which was made when Sweet Brown was interviewed by the local news channel after she escaped a fire in her apartment complex.
It was the morning of 7th April 2012 when a fire broke out at an Oklahoma City apartment complex in Oklahoma. Five units of the complex were damaged and one person was admitted to a hospital due to acute smoke inhalation.
Having arrived first on the scene, KFOR-TV interviewed one of the displaced resident and fire survivors named Sweet Brown.
Describing the incident, Sweet Brown said that she had aroused from sleep to get some cold pop for herself when she heard some noise and saw some smoke. She thought that someone was barbecuing but soon realized that it was a fire.
Kimberly Wilkins also added that due to her bronchitis she could not wait there for long and ran out of the building without shoes.
During her narration, she often kept repeating the phrase ‘ain’t nobody got time for that!”. This catchphrase became quite a memorable one and formed the basis later for a number of remixes.
The video was uploaded on YouTube on the same day by a KFOR-TV employee called as Ted Malave. On day 2, YouTuber ‘lucasmarr‘ uploaded another version of this video and it was this video that got the maximum views.
There were 1 million views in sheer 48 hours. There were also 109000 shares in 48 years on Facebook. This video was also reposted on other websites such as Tosh 0, eBaum’s world etc.
