Phil Heath was born on 18 December 1979 and is aged 38 now. His birthplace is Seattle, Washington in the USA. He grew up in the same locality as his birth. He studied at the Rainier Beach High School and was a good basketball player there and was also the team captain and a shooting guard on his team. Phil then joined the University of Denver and was there on an athletic scholarship. He graduated with a major in business administration and 2002 entered bodybuilding.
His father was Donald Heath and his mother is Rosella Braxton. He has an American nationality and African-American ethnicity.
Phil Heath-career
Phil Heath had entered the field of bodybuilding in the year 2002. In 2005, he became an IFBB pro. The next year, he won two professional events which were held in Colorado and New York. He also took part in Arnold Classic and was placed fifth. He could have entered the Mr. Olympia contest in 2007 but opted out of it for his reasons. He had said that he needed more time to improve his form and would participate after he feels that he is fit for it.
Come 2008 and Phil won the Iron Man show. He came in second position at the Arnold Classic event the same year. The same year he debuted on the Mr. Olympia event and was the first to be a novice and yet make it to the third position. In a 2009 similar event, he came fifth. At the 2010 event, he was up by three places and came second. In 2011, he won the show and after this win, he won 6 more times.
He is part of several shows and DVDs. He had once said:

Phil Heath was dating Jennie Laxson for several years. The couple then decided to take their great-going relationship to the next level and married on 23 June 2007. The couple has no children. Their relationship could not last and they divorced in the year 2015.
