Rachel Dolezal’s Early life and education

Rachel Anne Dolezal popularly known as Rachel Dolezal was born on November 12, 1977, in Lincoln County, Montana, United States. Born to parents Ruthanne Dolezal (mother) and Lawrence Dolezel (father), she is a Human Right Activist, Instructor. She was raised in Montana with her siblings  (Esther, Zach, Joshua Dolezal).

Rachel went to Belhaven University which is located in Jackson, Mississippi. It was where she asked for the first annual celebration of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It also established the first African-American history course on campus. After moving from Mississippi, she attended Howard University. She graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree.

Rachel Dolezal was married to Kevin Moore (African-American keyboardist). They married in 2000, she had a son named Franklin Moore. She adopted two brothers, Izaiah Dolezal, and Ezra Dolezal. On 16th February 2016, Her second son named Langston Atticus Dolezal was born. The couple divorced in 2004. In 2006, she suffered from Cervical Cancer but by 2008 she had recovered.

Her book  “In Full Color: Finding My Place In a Black and White World” and her writing in “The Inlander” (Newspapers) are examples of it.

In Spokane, Rachel taught Africana studies at Eastern Washington University. Furthermore, she worked as chair of the volunteer citizen Police Ombudsman Commission and led the local chapter of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). It provided independent citizen oversight of the Police Department. From 2005-2014, she was an art instructor at North Idaho College. There she involved in civil rights activism. Eventually, she became head of the Human Rights Education Institute there in 2008-10.

To her claims of being a victim of multiple hate crimes, she -A blonde, white girl had transformed into a “black” woman. Her dedication and struggle lighten a national debate on racial identity. Her work focused on the black community and by far she has been successful in her work.
