Richard was interested in sports during his school and college days. He started playing baseball at his school and was the best All-State Outfielder. He got an athletic scholarship to the University of Miami. He led his university team to wins.
In 2004, Richard got drafted by the Anaheim Angels. He played professional baseball for 9 years with different teams. He was not only a player but also a friend and mentor to his teammates. He closely saw the problems faced by the players.
He also co-founded and worked at the Bubucheek Clothing in September 2008 until September 2014.
In October 2014, he started his firm called Athlete Asset Management at Global Wealth Management and is the President and Financial adviser here. This firm is based in his hometown. This company assists athletes to preserve their income through smart investments.

Richard and Joy had met during a conference. They liked each other and soon started dating. They dated for a couple of years before deciding that they would like to spend the rest of their life together. On 13 February 2016, the couple tied the knot at Richard’s native town. The ceremony was a grand one and was conducted at the Biltmore Luxury Hotel in Miami, Florida.
