He was born in Panorama City, CA but later on, the family moved to Compton due to his father’s job location. His father was a professional skateboarder.
He had three brothers and a sister as siblings. He acquired the nickname of Baby Scumbag in his childhood and this was name given to him by a few other professional skateboarders and his cousin (skateboard videographer) due to his weakness at skateboarding.

His family was from a lower socio-economic class and his parents struggled to make ends meet. His father developed eye cancer and his mother had to work both inside and outside the home. Steven soon started to earn some money for the family to be skateboarding and promoting products of various companies.
Steven’s career-online and offline
Steven learned to skateboard early in his life from his father. He was not very good at it. Hence since the year 2012, he started making videos of his skateboarding and most of these were put as funny pranks. His video was sponsored first by Premier Skate Board Shop and he became a professional skateboarder.
He took more products on hand to promote them. His fame rose when he appeared in a documentary made by Frontline that also had other teen stars of the social media. His YouTube channel followers rose remarkably and he has more than 700000 fans on it. On his Twitter, Steven garnered more than 180000 followers. His Instagram account also gathered nearly 100000 fans.
Steven bagged a contract with the local apparel company which manufactures clothing for skateboarders. It is called Honey Brand. The job of Steven was to promote their products. He also promotes products and articles made by ‘The Berrics,’, ‘Treehouse’, ‘Gold Wheels’, ‘Grizzly Griptape’ and others.
Steven’s downfall
Though Steven gained popularity for his videos on his life and the various tricks and stunts he performed with his skateboard, this fame did not last. He had posted a video on how to pick up girls. This video talked about a modus operandi which was also the one he used to follow in his real-life along with two other friends.
The local police were alerted that Steven and his friends Jose Barajas and KeelanDaddon used to lure young girls less than 14 years old to do sexual acts to make a video.
These acts were captured on camera in exchange for helping the girls to meet high performers who would feature them in their music videos.
The police set a trap. They used a 12-year-old as a decoy and caught the trio red-handed in the act in 2015. Though Steven was a minor, his name was released by the police to the press so that more girls who were exploited would come forward to complain against him. 4 more girls came forward and filed a case against Steven.
