An Indian mixed martial artist named Ritu Kumari Phogat is currently affiliated with ONE Championship. She was a female wrestler who took first place in the 2016 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship and earned a gold medal.

Ritu initially discussed her field change with her sisters because her father is somewhat obscure in the world of mixed martial arts.
Phogat signed a contract with the ONE Championship to begin in 2019.
She competed against Nam Hee Kim in her MMA debut at ONE Championship: Age Of Dragons back in November 2019. Ritu Phogat has been driven on the MMA field from the very beginning with the single goal of “becoming the first Indian World champion.”
After her first fight, she later competed on October 20, 2020, against Nou Srey Pov.

Rumor and Controversies
Itsuki Hirata was supposed to be Ritu’s opponent in her most recent match, but Hirata had to withdraw due to an injury. As a result, she later got into a fight with Jenelyn Olsim.
Ritu ultimately prevailed, but it wasn’t without controversy. During the game in Singapore, Ritu appeared to intentionally forehead drive Olsim. It is an unlawful maneuver in the promotion of Asian martial arts.
However, the referee did not give her a yellow card, for which she later had to pay 10% of the fight’s proceeds.
Later, during the post-match interview, Ritu Phogat acknowledged that she had been ignorant of the movement’s ban in that ring.
“I wasn’t aware of it, but the minute the referee instructed me against it, I did not pursue it any further. Yes, I didn’t try it again. I respected the referee’s instructions.”
