Robin’s full name is Robin Michelle Meade. She was born on April 21, 1969, in New London, Ohio. She was born to parents Linro Meade and Sharon Meade. She grew up in New London as well. There is not much information about her childhood days to be found.

Robin got her formal education at New London High School. After graduation, she attended Malone University from which she graduated with a major in radio/television production, programming, and performance. She also got a degree in political science from Ashland University in 1991.

Robin’s professional career in modeling took off when she was crowned with the Miss Ohio title in 1992. Following her victory, she was also a semi-finalist in the Miss America Pageant the same year.

Robin’s career as a journalist began when she became a reporter at WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio. She later also worked for WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio. She then went on to join WJW-TV in Cleveland. She also joined NBC Chicago’s affiliate WMAQ-TV where she covered the 1996 Olympics.
In 2001 she began to work for HLN and currently hosts the morning show “Morning Express with Robin Meade” there. She also hosts OWN’s show “Ask Oprah’s All-Stars”.
For her reporting work in the 1995 collision between a school bus and train in Illinois, Robin received a regional Emmy Award.
