Robin Roberts is an American news reporter who anchors the ABC’s show Good Morning America. She was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome around 6 years back and has undergone a bone marrow transplant for it.

“Today is my sixth birthday. On this day, six years ago, I underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). I was blessed that my sister, Sally-Ann, was a perfect match, and her stem cells saved my life.”
She also has a breast cancer diagnosis 5 years before MDS but she fought that disease too. She is a survivor and has embraced her survival as a rebirth. She said that she is thriving and not just surviving and always wants to look forward and never backward.
