Rodney Carrington got married to Terri Carrington in 1993. Teri was a speech-language pathologist. They have three children; three sons named Sam, Zach, and George. But things turned bad later in their relationships and the couple divorced in 2012. It was Teri who had asked for the divorce. Rodney was not too happy with the split. He was heartbroken and sad. But he took it well and in an interview had jokingly said:
“That throws a big wrench in your life, your business and your bank account. I was married 18 years and got laid off.”
He tried to save the marriage but his efforts were not successful. Talking about it, he had said in an interview:
“I was doing really good, and out of the clear blue she says, “I’m leaving.” We’ll if that (relationship) don’t work, I don’t know what the…”
Talking about the kids, Rodney had said:

Rodney Carrington was born on 19 October 1968 in Longview, Texas. He stayed here from 1968 to 1990. He was working as a stand-up comedian at local programs and also participated in radio programs. His parental and sibling details are not known. It is also known which schools and colleges he attended. But his passion for acting and singing was conspicuous from a very young age.
Rodney released his first album with Mercury Records, Nashville in 1998. His next album was in 2000 and through Capitol Nashville. His singles made it to the top 100 of many reputed music charts. In 2003 came his third album. In 2004, he also had his own sitcom on ABC. He also acted in a few other films. His next album was released in 2009.
