Baio made his film debut in 1976, playing Bugsy in “Bugsy Malone,” a critically acclaimed comic drama film that was nominated for an Academy Award. After that, he landed many roles in the following years, the most notable of which was in 1977, when he played Anthony DeLuca in “Blansky’s Beauties,” partnering with Nancy Walker, Caren Kaye, and Eddie Mekka.
In the same year, he joined the cast of “Happy Days,” his most well-known TV series, in which he played Chachi.
