1st October 2015! It was a sad day indeed for not only the Bratayley family but also for all the fans and subscribers of the famous YouTube family-‘The Bratayleys’. This channel had close to 3 million subscribers and more than a billion views. It was on this day that Bratayley lost their eldest child; son Caleb Logan LeBlanc.

Caleb Logan LeBlanc’s Happy Family!
Caleb Logan was born on 13th July 2002 to Katie and Billy Bratayley. Billy is a military man. He was eldest of three siblings. He had two younger sisters named Annie and Hayley. The family hails from Maryland, USA. Caleb was a loving, caring, funny and amazing child. He loved basketball and video games.
Purple and black colors were liked by him and his favorite food items were cheese and macaroni.
The parents had made a YouTube channel for their daughter Hayley, but it soon became a family channel. Since all the children were home-schooled, they were always there to upload their videos online. They used to post details of their daily life on this platform. They were on Facebook, Vine, Instagram, and such social media platforms.
A star in the making!
Caleb wrote the song ‘I am a baked potato’. Caleb soon became a YouTube star. His presence was loved by all. The family videos grabbed many hits. Caleb started his own separate YouTube channel called ‘Blazenoutlaws’ where he used to upload his videos.
He also had another channel called as ‘FlimsyArrow’ on which he uploaded videos related to playing the video game ‘Minecraft’. This channel managed to get more than 1 lakh subscribers.
In collaboration with his sister, Caleb started the channel named ‘Truthplusdare’. Another channel termed ‘OMMyGoshTV’ was also launched with both his sisters. This channel used to have a video every week in which a theme was hidden and people had to guess the theme. If the subscriber was able to make a correct guess, his name was announced on the channel.
Caleb’s videos were quite hilarious and refreshing. He was a modest and loving child. He was a great son, a brother, friend, and a star.

Caleb Logan LeBlanc’s premature death!
Caleb expired on 1st October at 7.08 pm due to a heart ailment. He was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. In this, the heart muscles enlarge but are unable to function properly. It is due to faulty genes which lead to improper heart muscle proteins. There is no simple cure for this disease but it is treatable if detected early and in time. Heart transplantation has been tried in terminal cases with varying success.
The family announced his death on Instagram with a post of Caleb with his sister. They wrote:
“This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him,”
“Yesterday at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son. We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato.”

On the next day, the family uploaded the final video of Caleb in which he was seen talking about sports and his future. It was titled ‘Dear future self’. He signs off saying ‘See you Guys tomorrow’. The video ends with the message for all parents to love their kids and kiss them every night.
His parents also live-streamed his funeral for his fans to view. His organs were donated and the family received the honor of the Hero Bear.
There was havoc amongst his fans and they suspected foul play behind his mysterious death. The pressure increased so much that the local police had to release an official statement that there was no criminal conspiracy behind Caleb’s death and that he had died a natural death. The family stayed away from the limelight for some time saying:
“Bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family.”
