Solomon Thomas Sister Death

Solomon Thomas sadly lost his sister to depression and suicide in 2018. She was at her friend’s place where she shot herself in the chest with the gun.

Growing up, his sister, Elle was always an anxious kid, according to her family. She always used to have mood swings in her childhood.

Things took a really bad turn for her when she got gang-raped at a college frat party. Following the incident, she dropped out of college.

When she tried to report the crime, apparently officials turned blind eye to her. As per Solomon, the lack of concern on the part of officials led her to believe it was her fault.

It took her two years to share the incident of sexual assault with her mother and three years with her brother. Her depression started getting worse as she was losing friends and also drug overdosing.

Ever since her death, his family has been raising awareness about mental illness and ending the stigma around it. Furthermore, they also participated in Walk Out of Darkness fundraiser.

They also helped raise money for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Similarly, at the AFSP Gala, he paid an emotional tribute to his sister.

He shared her experience with depression in order to assist others who are dealing with it.

High School And College

Solomon Thomas played high school football for the Coppell Cowboys. Furthermore, he had an outstanding senior year as an athlete recording 78 tackles.

Thomas became a four-star recruit and the best player in his class. He decided to enroll in Stanford University after graduating from high school.

Solomon had many successful games with the Stanford Cardinals. He redshirted his freshman year. In his sophomore year, he became one of the unbeatable athletes.

Solomon got the honorable mention All-Pac-12 and first-team All-Pac-12. Furthermore, the athlete got the honor of the Morris Trophy.

After finishing his junior year, he decided not to continue his collegiate football career. Solomon instead chose to enter the 2017 NFL Draft.

The 2017 NFL Draft drafted Solomon, the San Francisco 49ers selected him in the first round.

He also signed the NFL player to a $28.14 million contract, including an $18.61 million signing bonus. He was an outstanding defender during his four years on the team

San Francisco declined his fifth-year contract option after he served on the team for four years. As of now, Solomon is a free agent on the team.

Due to a torn ACL, he is currently unable to play for any team in the 2021 NFL Draft. Solomon has been on the injured list since September 2020.
