Savannah Chrisley is a former beauty pageant contestant who became popular for her participation in the reality series Chrisley Knows Best. Moreover, she was also named Miss Tennessee Teen in 2015.
The newly hooked couple Savannah Chrisley and Luke Kennard splits
American reality TV star and beauty pageant winner, Savannah Chrisley was dating basketball championLuke Kennard for the last 4 months. However, on 18th August 2017, it has been revealed that the couple has separated. The ending was a sad but amicable one! Savannah Chrisley issued a statement to EOnline in which she confirmed about this breakup. She said:
“The last 4 months I’ve been dating Luke have been great but as a young woman of faith I made the decision that with where Luke and I both are in our careers, it was best to part as friends rather than deal with the pressures of wondering if you are the only one,”
The elegant daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley further stated:
“I was brought up to know my worth. I’m 20 now and so excited to live my life as beautifully as God intended. I will forever love the Kennard family.”
It appears that there was a clash of thinking and careers and it was difficult for either to give up their other life for their better half. Luke Kennard has been recently drafted by the Detroit Pistons and would be involved most of the time with his game and rehearsals. While Savannah herself has a number of TV projects at hand.
This would not leave the couple with much time to spend together. Though it is sad that the relationship ended so soon even before it had any time to bloom, it is nice that they have ended it in a mature way and not bitterly! This announcement of a breakup comes as a surprise since only a week back the couple had enjoyed a trip together to the Cayman Islands for Savannah’s birthday.
Savannah Chrisley and Luke Kennard take a trip
Savannah Chrisley’s birthday falls on the 11th of August. This year she turned 20 years old. But since Luke would not have been with her on her this year’s birthday, the couple had decided to prepone it a bit and they took off to the Cayman Islands to celebrate her birthday early. Elaborating on their little getaway, Savannah Chrisley had written on her Instagram:
“Last night I got ready and walked out to a private dinner on the beach…and so many more surprises!! It was insane!!!”
Savannah Chrisley had added:
“it truly was a night that will be remembered! So many fun memories made!! Oh and did I mention…luke got me the prettiest bracelet ever.”
This post and slideshow video has since been removed from the Instagram. It is rather sad and surprising that a couple so much in love have made the decision to separate now!
How did Savannah Chrisley and Luke Kennard meet?
Savannah Chrisley seemed to be very happy with her new boyfriend Luke Kennard. Father Todd Chrisley has also approved of this relationship and in June 2017, he had opened up about the first meeting between his daughter Savannah and Luke. Todd Chrisley had told EOnline:
“We were actually at a restaurant — at Craig’s (in Los Angeles)—having dinner. He came in with his agent and his family, and their table was right beside ours.”
He further added:
“After we left, he sent [Savannah] a message on Instagram and told her how beautiful she was. He didn’t want to come over and bother our family but that he wanted to let her know how beautiful he thought she was.”
The proud father had continued:
“After they started seeing each other and talking, I found out from the father that [Luke] had been wanting to message her for a year. So when that happened he thought that was God telling him that’s what he should do.”
Todd has always defended his daughter amidst any rumors or problems. A doting father indeed!
Siblings Savannah and Chase Chrisley spin-off
Siblings Savannah and Chase have truly bud off into their own reality show after starring in Chrisley Knows Best for the last 6 seasons, and Father Todd Chrisley cannot be more proud!
“I’m extremely proud of Chase and Savannah as they continue their journey into adulthood. This show will follow them as they live on their own. And give their parents huge headaches and potential heart attacks.”
“If they say something that I don’t think is appropriate or that I think is offensive to someone. I send them a text message with a screenshot and go, ‘Really? Really?”
