This book titled ‘On the Frontline with the women who fight back’ Stacey has shared about the women she met in Iraq, Brazil, Honduras, and the like who inspire her by their fighting spirit against the injustice and ills against them from the society in which they live. About her career so far
As she waited for the right break, Stacey was working as a shop assistant at the Luton airport. When she was 21, she took part in the TV series called Blood, Sweat, and T-shirts in April 2008. She was noticed and her popularity on the show was so remarkable that she managed to bag her TV show. Her TV show was named Stacey Dooley investigates and it first aired in August 2009. It was also broadcast in Australia on ABC2.

Two more programs were made and aired in October 2010 on BBC Three. These dealt with the problem of child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo and sex trafficking especially of underage girls in Cambodia.
In 2011, Stacey investigated in Tourism and its truth. These were also broadcast on BBC 3. She also did a series for CBBC. Her My Hometown Fanatics was aired in February 2012. She provided her viewers with the first-hand reports after interviewing the Islamists and English Defence league personnel. She also investigated the plight of the youth of Greece, Japan, and Ireland as regards the financial aspects.
She has been a Judge on many panels and discusses often on women, child, and youth-related issues. She appears on various shows to discuss on girls and women. Talking about the world of broadcasting and her presence in it, she had told in an interview to The Guardian:
“It’s something I’m proud of, although some people give me a hard time and tell me to ‘speak properly’. Some don’t like my accent or the fact I’m from Luton, but we often beat middle-class, middle-aged men in the ratings.”

If we go back to her early days, we see that she was born and raised in the town of Luton, Bedfordshire. She was brought up in a Council estate and her mother is English while her father is Irish.
