Susan Boyle is a singer who came to an international platform as a contestant on the TV program Britain’s Got Talent.

Susan Boyle-the comeback

British singer Susan Boyle had stunned the world when the shy and timid Scottish woman participated in 2009 Britain’s Got Talent and sang I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.

After a gap of 3 years, Susan performed for the first time for the BGT charity gig in Liverpool in February 2018. The event was to help raise funds for Alder Hey Hospital.

As expected, the 56-year-old singer received a standing ovation for her performance. On the occasion, she said:

“I’m still here and still going strong.”

She added:

“Liverpool was my first ­performance in a little while. It went very well and I ­thoroughly enjoyed it.”

A Glasgow studio has been booked for April 2018 for recording songs for her eighth album which will be launched later this year. Her last album was in 2016. An insider revealed:

“It’s going to be an exciting year for Susan. She can’t wait to get back into the ­studio and get recording. She has lots of ideas and is looking ­forward to her fans hearing the new ­material. It’ll come out later this year.”

She loves to sing and make people happy. Money and fame are secondary.

Susan was born on 1 April 1961 In Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland. Her father Patrick was a miner and veteran of WW II. He used to sing at Bishop’s Blaize. Her mother Bridget was a shorthand typist. The family has Irish links. Her mother was 45 years old when Susan was born.

Susan had 4 elder brothers and 5 elder sisters. She was raised with the diagnosis of a learning disability.

It was only in 2012-2013 that it became known that her problems were actually due to Asperger syndrome and she had an IQ above average. She had to face bullying during her childhood and at school.

Susan found it difficult to cope with the school studies and left it with few qualifications. She took part in government training programs and also performed at local venues for a living.

She released her first album I dreamed a dream in 2009 and sold more than 411k copies. It also was on several music charts. There were tours, TV appearances, shows, concerts and more.
