Steve Aoki was born in Miami, Florida on November 30, 1977, to Rocky Aoki and Chizuru Kobayashi. Rocky Aoki was the founder of the popular Japanese restaurant chain Benihana. Steve Aoki grew up in a multicultural household, as his father was Japanese, and his mother was of European descent. Along with half-sister Devon Aoki, he has two older siblings: brother Kevin and sister Kana.
