Early Life

Greedy and his siblings were raised by Greedy’s single mother, Lakesha Williams. Greedy’s mother later married Greedy’s youth football coach.

Williams also has a one-year older brother, Rodarius Williams, who almost always beats him in everything they do together, including sports and video games.

Greedy, on the other hand, was a football fanatic, according to Rodarious. When he first touched a football, he had a fire in his eyes.

The NFL cornerback wanted a better life for his mother and family, which led him to football and completely changed his life.

Williams attended Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, Louisiana).

College career

Williams, who had redshirted his first year, was given the opportunity to start after junior Kevin Toliver II was suspended.

In addition, he kept his spot after Toliver returned from a suspension and throughout the entire campaign.

Williams topped the SEC in interceptions and passes defended as a rookie. He was consequently chosen for the All-SEC first team.

He was only the second LSU freshman since 1986 to be selected to the All-SEC team (the other being Brad Wing in 2011).

Williams declared for the 2019 NFL Draft on December 2, 2018, deciding to forgo his final two years of eligibility.

Greedy Willaims attended Louisiana State University for his college football career.

After Brad Wing in 2011, the NFL star became the second LSU freshman to make the All-SEC team since 1986.

Lonnie won the Super Bowl competition, when he first faced the Texans, after dominating his college career with 64 tackles and 12 pass breakups.

Professional Career

When Lonnie’s name was selected in the 2019 NFL draft, his family, particularly his uncle Jackson, experienced a moment of pride.

When the NFL draft picks were announced on TV, Loonie was watching with his mother, brother, and fiancée in the theater room of Gary’s West Side Leadership Academy.

In the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected Loonie as the 54th overall choice. His eyes welled up with tears of joy as soon as he heard the news.

On May 10, 2019, Lonnie signed his first-year contract with the Texans.

The Texans’ interim head coach and former defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel reportedly wanted to use him more as a safety than a cornerback. His physique is really well-suited for that job.
