Cher announced the death of her mother/actress Georgia Holt at the age of 96 years old. She revealed the news on the social media platform Twitter early Saturday morning. With the sad emoji, she writes, “Mom is Gone!”

The singing sensation revealed through Twitter only that her mother is hospitalized due to pneumonia in September. Now all of sudden she passed away.

“Sorry I’ve Been Mia. Mom’s Been Sick Off & On. She Just Got Out Of Hosp. She Had Pneumonia,” Cher writes, to clear out doubts of her fans, she again tweets saying that she is getting better.

Cher is the one who takes care of her mother all the time. She is the one who opens up with the media about the health condition of her mother. During a severe pandemic, she mentioned that she would get the covid tested all the time. Also, she was very careful about her elderly mother during the pandemic period.

“We have a little bubble that we’ve had all this time,” she said. “We wear masks, and there’s not very many of us. It’s my sister, my brother-in-law, my mom, and my assistant. And we stay far apart from each other.”

The life story of Holt was extracted from Holt herself, her children, her grandchildren, and also her relatives. Cher told that she learned most from the things she did.

“She never gave me and my sister advice because, truthfully, she knew we’d never take it,” Cher said of her mother. “Instead, we learned about life by listening to her talk about the things she did wrong and the things she did right.”

Cher recalled the time when she was small and she would see her mother being “very beautiful”. Also mentioned that the mother-daughter duo also had a lot of fights.

“I did a couple of things like running away when I was 11,” Cher told at the time. “I hopped on a train with my friends. I was just very adventurous – but never disrespectful. She wouldn’t have put up with that.”

According to Cher, her mother always believed in being sure about the person you are in love with. But then she was married and divorced six times. To that Cher says that if the time was different then she would just marry once.

“I had a little problem with her over Sonny Bono, but that didn’t take her too long to get over,” Cher told. “She listened first before making a judgment, so I could always talk to her about my romances.”
