Is Drew Barrymore a cold mom? She doesn’t buy Christmas presents for her two daughters!

Well, Drew Barrymore is a smart mom! She is totally standing by her decision not to buy any Christmas gifts for her daughters. Drew is a mother of two daughters, 10-year-old Olive and 8-year-old Frankie. Then in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, she clarified that she is not a “strict or cold mom”.

Her meaning was, gifting them some presents will be worthless at their age and she takes them on a trip every Christmas. Now that’s like a cool mom. Kids of her age will barely remember the gifts but then it will be in their memory if they travel to a new destination.

“I always take them on a trip every Christmas,” the “Drew Barrymore Show” host explained. “I don’t get them presents, which I think at their ages they don’t love.

She believes that children will keep in mind the experience and pictures and she wants to gift them those moments. She considers having a “living memory” better than a “Dollhouse”. That’s a weird concept but then it works.

“But I say, ‘I think we’ll remember the place and the photos and the experience and that’s what I want to give you,’”

Moreover, she added that she gave her girls some gifts during the pandemic and that experience really sucked.

“It all evens out and it’s fine” since she gave her girls presents during the COVID-19 pandemic and the experience “suck[ed].” the “never been kissed” star added

She even mentioned that her children don’t complain about anything they get when she takes them on a trip and she’s happy that she is taking this step.

“They don’t complain about not liking what they get when I take them on a trip. I’m glad I do what I do.”

Drew shares her two daughters with her ex-husband Will Kopelman. She was in a relationship with Will for four years, from 2012 to 2016 and now she is divorced. After the split, Drew is no more interested in having further relationships. She has spoken about her abstaining from marriages and sexual relations. Drew never wants to play the dating game again.

“It simply hasn’t been my priority,” Barrymore wrote in a blog. “I have had the honor and a pleasure to actually work on myself and learn what parenting is.”

In contrast, the star mentioned to Whoopi Goldberg that she is dating again! She got ready to be back to having a normal life after six years of getting divorced.

“It had been so many years, I started to get a little worried, Like, I’m too good at being alone.”

When Whoopi asked her about being in a relationship she replied saying she is not looking for a serious relationship.

She wants to try a hit-and-run type of relationship now and she wants to have someone as a part of her life.

“Maybe a hit-and-run is a better way to go, for now, until you say to yourself, ‘Now I really want someone to just be part of this,’” Goldberg suggested. “Right now, that may not be what you’re looking for, which is probably why you’re doing fine.”

Drew Barrymore explained the reason why her ex-partner, Justin Long can get all the ladies he wants. She said on Thursday while chatting with Mike Birbiglia during the show, “A Little Bit Extra”.

Drew Barrymore says she has a good friendship with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Long. Similarly, they both don’t have any differences between them after being ex-partners also. Justin and Drew are seen hanging out together after the split too. Likewise, on Thursday, on the show, “A Little Bit Extra” Drew Barrymore talked about Justin Long and his behaviors as well with the host, Mike Birbiglia.

Additionally, she gave the reason why Justin gets all the ladies he wants without being rejected. Further, she stated,

“I was very much in love with Justin. Do you know why? ‘Cause he is funny. The sharpest wit.”

Besides Barrymore also explained,

“You wanna know why he gets all the ladies? Well, there are a few reasons … but comedy is definitely [one of them]. He is one of the sharpest, wittiest [people]. He’s brilliant, and he’ll just knock your socks off with laughter.”

Drew and Justin Long first met each other while filming “He’s Just Not That Into You” in the year 2007. And, from the year 2007, they were together for 2010 i.e. 3 years. Being together with the same person for three you know all his behaviors and their activities as well.
