Early life, Family, and Education

Indian Footballer, Sunil Chhetri was born on 3rd August 1984, in Secunderabad, India. K.B. Chhetri and Sushila Chhetri are the parents of the winger. His father was a member of the Indian Army’s Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers.

Sunil spent his childhood in several locations because he was the son of an Army officer. He lived in Gangtok, Darjeeling, New Delhi, and Kolkata for part of his life.

Sunil has always been interested in sports, notably football, and has played them since he was a child. As a result, he developed into a promising talent.

Sunil began his athletic career at the age of sixteen. Chhetri, a recent college graduate, was given the opportunity to play for Mohun Bagan in 2002.

In 2005, the striker left the squad to join JCT FC. Sunil scored 21 goals in 48 games while playing for JCT FC. This is one of his numerous recordings.

In 2010, he was contacted by the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer.

Sunil was then successful in acquiring various football clubs throughout time. This Indian footballer has formerly represented East Bengal, Dempo, Chirag United, Sporting CP B, Bengaluru, Mumbai City, India U20, and the national side.
