The Grammy winner revealed earlier this month that she first heard the term “lavender haze” on the television program “Mad Men” and that it simply describes being in love.

The pop artist revealed in an Instagram video earlier this month that her six-year romance with Alwyn served as the inspiration for “Lavender Haze.” She remarked at the time, “We’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it”

she further added, “And so, this song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.”

The 32-year-old singer of “All Too Well” collaborated on a song called “Sweet Nothing” with her boyfriend, whose stage name is William Bowery.
