Mama June Shannon was seen defending her daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s interracial relationship with boyfriend Dralin Carswell.

Mama June called her daughter Alana ‘grown-up’ who is 16 yr old. Shannon made this statement while discussing her age gap with her 20 yr old boyfriend.

“She is getting a lot of hate because she’s in an interracial relationship, he is older”

“At the end of the day, Alana’s not that 6-, 7-year-old child y’all fell in love with 11 years ago.”

“Alana has grown up, she’s graduating high school next year, guys!” the reality star added. “People need to realize that she’s going to be 17 in August.”

Mama further added that honey boo boo’s elder sister Lauryn Shannon and her husband Joshua Efird ‘were of the same age when they began dating.

June met Carswell and she recently expressed her approval of Thompson.

She further told entertainment tonight in an interview…

“He’s good. He needs to hold down a job a little bit more” ‘I mean, he’s not bad. He doesn’t treat her bad or anything like that. … They are young… So, if they last? Fine. If they don’t, it can be her first love.”

The pair were separately dating when Thompson debuted her relationship with the college student Dralin.

The couple also faced backlashed!!!!

The couple is getting major backlash just because of Carswell being four years older and them being in an interracial relationship.

Things appear to be so bad from some critics that the honey boo boo turned comments off for the photo. Craswell will be appearing on the newest season of the popular reality series.

Thompson heartbreakingly disclosed that besides Carswell she never had many friends, she further added,

“I don’t trust nobody really, so I don’t have friends.”
