Mandy Moore and her husband Taylor are ‘So deeply Grateful’ for this second baby. They are already parents to 15 years old Gus.

Mandy Moore is going to be the mom of two!! On Friday, the 38 years-old ‘This Is Us’ star and her husband Taylor announced her pregnancy via Instagram.

The baby is expected this fall. They are expecting their second baby together, the couple is already parents to 15-month-old son Gus Harrison.

The star writes alongside Gus wearing a T-shirt saying, big brother,

“One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited. Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall!”

Moore who recently releases her new album “In Real Life” further added,

“Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can’t wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo,”

Mandy has always been vocal about her parenting ups and downs with her followers. Moore shared that she used to set very unrealistic expectations of what she should be able to do. She just didn’t really recognize any of the worries, any sort of fears, or even the sense of responsibility you will never forget once you become a mom.

Almost after 4 months she also revealed that in the initial days she felt very clumsy and awkward while taking care of her son in comparison to Goldsmith’s skills as a parent.

“I felt a lot of shame and a lot of guilt, But … suddenly, we glided into a new phase and Gus preferred me to my husband. And it’s going to change again. It’s a roller-coaster.”

While speaking with the parents in December 2021, she discussed how her life changed since she welcomed Gus.

“Not to sound cheesy, but all the clichés are true. Life is Technicolor now. It just makes sense in a way that it didn’t before,” she said. “I had no idea that this degree of love existed in the world.”

When Asked whether their baby Gus had impacted on her creativity as an entertainer and a musician, the A actress said parenthood is “going to change what I write about and, as an actor, what I’m able to access.”

She added,

“I have a new color to bring to the table that I didn’t have before. It’s going to impact the choices I make when it comes to working. Everything is different now,”

Mandy Moore decided to birth without an epidural for her second child as she is dealing with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura(ITP)!

Mandy Moore stated that she will have an unmedicated birth for welcoming her second baby this fall. She is going to be a mother again as she has two babies in the house.

In the tie of delivering Moore’s first child, she did it without medication due to her condition. Though it is hard and painful but is possible. Additionally, Mandy stated,

“My platelets are too low for an epidural. It was awful. But I can do it one more time. I can climb that mountain again. I wish medication was an option — just the idea of it being on the table is so nice. But we’ll just push forth like we did last time.”

“I am fine. I just have to continue to get my blood checked — my platelet levels checked — throughout pregnancy. They’re low, but they’ve always been low. But I’m all good. Everything’s good.”

Further Explanation

As the doctor said that the disorder can cause “easy or excessive bruising and bleeding”. Especially, pregnant women suffer a lot due to ITP as they have a “greater risk of heavy bleeding during delivery”. Because of this, Mandy is canceling her tour and decided to take a rest at her home. Announcing this news to her fans and followers, she wrote a long paragraph,

“Friends, It is with a heavy heart and much consideration that I have to let you all know that I am canceling my remaining show dates in 2022. It has been an honor and an absolute dream to return to the stage again this past month, performing for all of you.”

On the other hand, Mandy Moore stated,

“When we booked these shows, I wasn’t pregnant and although I truly thought I could power through, the way we are traveling (long hours on the bus and not getting proper rest) has caught up, taken its toll, and made it feel too challenging to proceed”

In addition to that, the American pop singer continued thanking her fans and loved ones for their support and love. She will be nothing without them she said. Moreover, she also said,

“I know that I have to put my family and my health (and the health of my baby) first and the best place for me to be right now is at home. Thank you for all of your support along the way and thank you in advance for respecting my decision.”
