Final Season with the Golden Bears

2015’s junior season had already begun when Goff was beginning to gain attention. He was considered to be the best quarterback available for the 2016 NFL Draft.

Goff won the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award by tossing for 453 yards and six touchdowns against Oregon State.

Following a 542-passing yard victory over Arizona State, the same title was awarded once more.

The Bears had a 7-5 overall record as of the end of 2015. During the regular season, Goff threw for 4,714 yards and 43 touchdowns by himself. He was selected for the All-Pac-12 first team as a result of his achievements.

He was the first quarterback of the Bears to receive the honor following Aaron Rodgers in 2004. It was also the Bears’ first triumph in the postseason since 2008.

Goff had chosen sociology as his academic major in college. He did, however, decide to finish his senior year with the Bears after garnering a lot of interest from various NFL organizations. As a result, he submitted his name to the 2016 NFL draft.

Professional Football Career

He was prepared to start his career at the top after graduating from college. Analysts predicted that he would be selected by the Cleveland Browns or the San Francisco 49ers early in the first round.

But despite all the odds, the Tennessee Titans’ first-round pick, who went to the Los Angeles Rams, allowed them to select him.

In addition to selecting Goff, the Rams also selected Terry Baker and Roman Gabriel. He consequently agreed to a $4 million, four-year deal with the team in June 2016. In his debut game, he completed 17 of his 42 passes for 134 passing yards.

However, against the New Orleans Saints the following week, Goff might throw Tavon Austin for his first touchdown pass in the NFL.
