In the last night’s episode of Keeping up with the Kardashian, Kourtney revealed that she stepped on her engagement ring by mistake and it broke.

This incident happened when momager Kris Jenner noticed she was without the sparkler and asked her what happened.

Kris was concerned about her daughter not wearing her new bling. Kourtney explained that the ring was out getting fixed after an incident and then elaborated on the story which was most unfortunate.

She also says that this is the worst thing she has done in her whole life. Mamma Kris was in shock.

“You BROKE your engagement ring?!” she freaked.

Kourtney recalled “I was sitting on my floor folding sweatshirts. I took the ring off and I put it next to me on the floor, like thinking it would be safe right next to me” 

She further added,“I had to get something up above in my closet, and when I stepped down, I stepped on the ring. I was hysterically crying in my closet for hours, and then I called Travis.

Kourtney called Travis and said, ‘I did something really, really bad,’.

And Travis “handled it the best” and praised her new fiance. It gave Kourtney a nervous breakdown, she was like,

‘This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever had in my life? How can I have done that?’

Kourtney also shares that she cried hysterically in the closet for hours after the incident occurred. Luckily, they were fixed and Kourtney has been wearing them since.

About the $1M engagement ring

After a year of dating, Travis barker popped the big question to Kourtney in October 2021 on a beach in Montecito, California.

Designed by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz the ring was said to cost a whopping amount of $1 million.

According to Schwartz, the giant oval diamond ring was designed with so much intention. The jeweler has been a longtime designer for the Kardashian clan.

She designed two of Kim Kardashian’s engagement rings, she also worked very closely with Barker to make them come to life.

“I worked on it with Travis and he was a really big part of it,” Schwartz said “He was really hands-on in the whole making of it. It’s gorgeous and they’re happy.”

Kourtney’s kids were not the part of the proposal

While all the Kardashian-Jenner clan was present at the affair, none of Kourtney’s kids, Penelope, Reign, and Mason were present for the big event of their mom’s life.

Apparently the momager Kris didn’t want her kids to be present at the ceremony. She believed it would just complicate things further. The kids were spending time with their father Scott Disick.

The family didn’t want Disick to know about Kourtney’s engagement yet. So after the proposal went well Kourtney tried to share the exciting news of her life with her kids.

The blast happened when the 9-year-old daughter Penelope cries on the phone and urges her to ‘Hung up!!’

The youngest son said “the news was not interesting”, while mason didn’t even receive her call.

After the incident Kourtney seemed really disappointed with her decision, “I know that my mom made that decision, and it probably wasn’t her best.” she stated.

With that now, Kourtney will not be making the same mistake again. She will be more concerned about the impacts which she faced from the incident.

Travis Barker made a romantic proposal to Kourtney Kardashian on the May 5th episode of “The Kardashians”.

Travis Barker proposed Kourtney at a beachside hotel in Montecito, Calif, where the musician planned a very romantic and an elaborated floral arrangement in the sand before getting down on one knee and puposing Kourtney.

After the proposal, Travis with his three kids gathered with Kourtney’s family for an intimate ceremony dinner.

Kris Jenner mother of Kourtney made an executive decision not to include Kourtney’s three kids in the post-engagement celebration.

“For us to have to lie to Scott and get them here under false pretenses would have hit really hard for all of us,” Kris explained. “This is the right thing to do. Travis has kids who are all adults, basically. That’s the way I feel about it.”

Once the initial excitement of the engagement was low, Kourtney decided to call her kids and fill them in on what happened before they saw it on social media.

She called Penelope Disick first, and Penelope just broke down in tears as soon as she heard the news.

“Hang up!” Penelope said, ending the call immediately. “Penelope took it hard,” Kourtney admitted in the episode.

“I think it’s a big change for her. Even though she loves Travis, I think she doesn’t know what this means. Like, is that taking me away? I think she just doesn’t know what it means.”

When Kourtney called her youngest son, Reign Disick was not at all enthusiastic about the news.

“Not exciting!” he told his mom.

While another son, Mason Disick didn’t answer her when she tried to get in touch. After seeing how her kids are upset and not happy, Kourtney admitted that if her kids were able to be there, the situation would have been better.

“I wish that my kids were here,” she said. “It would’ve made them feel more included in the decision, kind of, and part of the surprise. I know that my mom made the decision and it probably wasn’t her best.”

Kourtney Kardashian was having a bit of a tough time with how all this happened, but Khloe and Kim assured her that not having the kids at the engagement was the right decision.

“They need to process it in their own way,” Khloe said. “I think they think they’re losing their dad. I don’t think they think they’re losing their mom, they think their dad is gone and you’re replacing him. When you’re a kid you think you have to pick one, so Penelope’s reaction is understandably okay. But there’s nothing wrong with Travis. “It’s the same way you expressed about Bruce Jenner”

In Conclusion, Kourtney was finally able to smooth things over with Penelope once she got back home.

They had some girls’ time together to sort things better and she also revealed that Travis spoke with Penelope and explained to her how badly he wanted them at the engagement but things went down the favor.
