Early Life and Family

Renee Scott and Tige Diggins welcomed Skylar into the world on August 2, 1990.  Younger siblings named, Destyn, Maurice, Tiger jr, and Hanneaf, and her parents together raised her.

Skylar isn’t the only one in the family who is athletic. Tige, her mother, is a gymnast. At a young age, her mother noticed she was “more into the dirt than dolls.”

On October 20, 2001, Paige Bueckers was born in Edina, Minnesota, in the United States to her parents Bob Bueckers and Amy Fuller Dettbarn.

Cunningham later changed schools and enrolled at Potomac High. Under the tutelage of Head Coach Rico Reed, he guided the Potomac Wolverines to a 27-0 season.

For the Potomac Wolverines, he averaged 20 points, 4 shot blocks, and 13 rebounds per contest. The Washington Post Metropolitan Player of the Year award was later given to Cunningham.

College Career

Cunningham attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He participated in all 33 of Villanova’s games. He actually started four games as a freshman in college.

During his senior season, he helped the Villanova Wildcats to a tremendous victory and was recognized as the Big East’s Most Improved Player.
