When Tarek El Moussa was 21 years of age (now he is 36 years old), he obtained his license to do real estate business. He was having a roaring business when there was demand for real estate. But as time went by, there was a dip in his business. He then switched to buying old homes, renovating them, and then selling for a profit. His business is going ok though there were some issues when he was suffering from health problems. At that time, there were also problems in his personal life which he now has left behind himself.
He and his wife Christina had started the real estate venture called Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group. Through a friend, Tarek managed to get a slot on HGTV for his real estate show called Flip or Flop. His show is going fine and even after their separation, the couple is continuing to be business partners and appear on the show.
The show premiered in 2013 and is now in the 7th season. He has a net worth which is estimated to be $ 5 million. He has gifted an expensive car to the nanny of his kids recently and said that he is not dating her but has done the noble deed in appreciation for her work.

Tarek and Christina met in 2005 at Prudential firm and Christina had approached him as a learner to get some training under him. She was just out of a relationship while Tarek was dating someone from whom he broke after 14 months and Christina was in. She said:
“The day Tarek and I officially started dating, which was October 9, 2006, we moved in together,”
They tied the knot in 2009 and have two children together. There is a girl called Taylor Reese born in 2010 and a son named Brayden James who was born in 2015. Tarek is close to his kids in spite of the separation and enjoys spending time with them on the set of his show.
The couple separated in 2016 and the divorce proceedings are on which are said to be messy.
Tarek and his health concerns
In 2013, a registered nurse who was a regular watcher of his show noticed a lump on Tarek’s neck when he was on the show. The nurse called Ryan Reade alerted the network on it and asked them to tell Tarek to get it examined. It was found that Tarek had stage 2 thyroid cancer. He also had testicular cancer and spine injury. The same time there were problems in his marital life and the couple separated. There were allegations of infidelity against Tarek and he was said to have been in a relationship with their former nanny.
