Jacob’s life before fame
Like many others, Jacob had a humble beginning. Jacob’s birth name is Rolf Jacob Sartorius. He was born on October 2, 2002, in Oklahoma, United States. Soon after his birth, the newborn boy was adopted as his birth parents were unable to take care of him. He was raised in Reston, Virginia by his adoptive parents.

In late 2014, he joined Musical.ly. His lip-syncing videos on Musical.ly became very popular. Shortly, his fame took off and he became one of the app’s top stars with over 14 million followers.
Jealous actions
After his fame, Jacob was more than bullied. He was verbally attacked, pushed, and teased by classmates. He said that social media offered him an escape from bullying.

In 2016 Sartorius admitted he had to switch schools three different times in 2015 due to bullying.
Singing passion and songs released
Jacob eventually took his love for music to another level. Sartorius signed to an independent record label. his debut single “Sweatshirt” was released on May 3, 2016. The song peaked at No. 90 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 81 on the Canadian Hot 100.
Later he released two more singles, “Hit or Miss” and “All My Friends”. The song “Hit or Miss” debuted at No. 72 in the United States. On December 1, 2017, he released his first Christmas song, “Cozy”
He published another song “Chapstick” on October 6, 2017, on Youtube.

Jacob has been dating Millie Bobby Brown since late 2017. Millie is a famous British actress best known for her role in stranger things.
