Tim started his career by working with Lehman’s brother as ahead of Mergers and Acquisitions in 1992. He shared the Asia-pacific region under the Lehman Brothers. Later in 1998, he chose Goldman Sachs to work. There he worked as an executive director in the mergers & acquisition division.

Tim managed the client partnership with state fund Malaysia Development Berhad for all its three bond issues from 2012 – 2013. Later, he owes the position of chairman of the Southeast Asia division in July 2014.
