Vic Fuentes is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the American rock band Pierce the Veil. Moreover, he plays the keyboard on some of the band’s records.
Vic Fuentes’ birth, age, family, early life, education and childhood
Vic Fuentes was born as Victor Vincent Fuentes on 10th February 1983 in San Diego, California. His mother is Vivian K. Fuentes. His father is Victor Gamboa Fuentes who is a former Mexican Jazz musician. Victor now dabbles in painting. Vic Fuentes has a younger brother called Mike Fuentes. His family also consists of two half-brothers and one half-sister.
Music was in his genes and family. At the age of 7, Vic Fuentes took up playing guitar.
He was a student at Mission Bay Senior High School. In school, he was part of a local punk band called ‘3 simple words’ with Curtis Peoples. In 1998, Vic and his brother Mike formed their own band named ‘Early Times’. He took up a course in graphic designing at the San Diego State University. His band ‘Early Times’ released three EPs.

After getting an offer from ‘Equal Vision Records’, Vic and Mike Fuentes released their album ‘A Celebration of an Ending’ in 2004. Two years later, ‘Before Today’ got disbanded.
In 2007, the brothers Vic and Mike incorporated bassist Jaime Preciado and guitarist Tony Perry. They then together worked on and released their debut record called ‘A Flair for the dramatic’. They named their new band as ‘Pierce the Veil’. Two more albums were released by this band namely ‘Selfish Machines’ and ‘Collide with the Sky’.
The latter was the most commercially successful album and was on no. 1 position at the US Rock and Alternative charts. The song ‘A match into water’ on this album was written by Vic for his former girlfriend who was ridden with breast cancer. Curtis Peoples worked with Vic’s band for the song ‘King for a Day’.
Vic and Mike also formed as supergroup named ‘Isles and Glaciers’. This group included other singers such as Jonny Craig, Craig Owens, Brian Southall, Matt Goddard, and Nick Martin. Nick Martin happens to be Vic Fuentes’ cousin. This band did one show in 2009 at SXSW and released one EP called ‘The Hearts of Lonely People’ in 2010. Shortly after, the band broke up.
Vic also served as a session guitarist on a short North American tour of the pop-punk band ‘Cinematic Sunrise’.
Vic has done innumerable tours to North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He also was part of big music festivals. He has participated in acts on concerts. He also co-wrote songs with other famed songwriters. Vic is considered a singer of the high vocal range. He was nominated for the Alternative Press Music Awards in 2014 and 2015. In 2017, two women accused Mike of having sexual relationships with them when they were still a minor. A twitter user @punkdoll Twitted that she entered a sexual relationship with the drummer when she was just 16 years old. They had met when she was 15 on MySpace.
Another woman whose name has not been revealed also made similar allegations. They had met at the band’s concert and had stayed in touch. She was a minor when Mike had asked her for nudes.
