Vickie Lynn Benson

Vickie Lynn Benson is a professional wrestler and manager from the United States. In addition, she is most known for her tenure in the WWE as Vickie Guerrero. She is now contracted to All Elite Wrestling as Nyla Rose’s manager.

Childhood, Education, and Parents

On April 16, 1968, American wrestler, Vickie Lynn Benson was born.

She grew up in the United States of America, in the city of El Paso, Texas. Vickie Lynn Lara is her full name, although she currently goes by Vickie Benson.

Regarding her parents, there are no details available. Because their identities and whereabouts are unclear. The same may be said for her siblings.

Vickie received her schooling at Herzing University. Guerrero, based on her job, most likely has a medical degree.

WWE Debut

In terms of her WWE career, Vickie made her debut as a face of WWE with her late husband, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio.

Vickie began with a scenario in which she and Eddie’s two kids prevented him from revealing Mysterio’s secret. This continued during the first part of 2005 until Eddie died on November 13, 2005.

Similarly, Vickie began to appear more heavily in WWE and in more controversial storylines following this.

Not to add, she became involved in feuds, including one involving Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero. Chris Benoit then became engaged in the plot in October 2006.

Furthermore, Benoit was more concerned with determining what Vickie was doing with Eddie’s estate while still defending the WWE United States Championship against Chavo.

Vickie has knocked off the ring during the survival series, forcing her to wear a neck brace. Guerrero accused Chris of “deliberately” punching her after the event.

Guerrero was appointed as the assistant to WWE General Manager Theodore Long in May 2007. During his wedding preparations, Guerrero took over as SmackDowninterim !’s general manager.

Vickie’s career had numerous ups and downs after that, from her love engagement with Edge to having Tombstone Piledriver administered to her by Undertaker.

We met her again on December 14, this time in a wheelchair. Guerrero made a few appearances following her comeback to assist Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Armageddon.

Formation of La Familia and Drama

In addition, in early 2008, she established La Familia alongside her nephew Chavo, Edge, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder’s crew, and even Bam Neely. Vickie was a member of the squad that helped Chavo capture the ECQ Championship from CM Punk.

She continued to interfere in other events and contests after that.

In addition, Guerrero sparked a conflict and multiple possibilities for Edge to recapture his lost belt.

After losing the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk, Edge called off the wedding, only to reschedule it for the next week.

Then, after Triple H exposed Edge for cheating on Vickie with their wedding planner, Alicia Fox, everything began to fall apart. Following this, Edge begged forgiveness only to be set up for a bout against his arch-enemy, The Undertaker.

During the Survivor Series, though, Vickie and Edge reconciled and even earned a Slammy Award for Couple of the Year.

Following Stephanie McMahon’s absence, Vickie was named interim General Manager of Raw in February 2009.

Despite her efforts, John Cena defeated Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Vickie went to Raw to become General Manager.

Move to Raw and Departure

Vickie had a lot to deal with in early 2009, from her departure as Raw’s general manager to her split with Edge.

Guerrero was accompanied by her fictional lover, Eric Escobar, who was dressed dramatically in a new style. When she returned, Vince McMahon appointed her as a SmackDown consultant.

Vickie is no stranger to conflict and conflict resolution. Similarly, she became involved in a heated rivalry between WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James, Michelle McCool, and Layla.

Guerrero, on the other hand, has made few appearances since leaving the program, primarily as a villain, of course.

But it’s reasonable to assume that none of her returns were joyful or successful. Sadly, even after a decade with WWE, she is not inducted into the Hall of Fame.’

According to some reports, her net worth is predicted to be $8 million as of 2022. Guerrero, who was notorious for her unfair match-fixing and favoritism, made a profession out of it.

Personal Life

Eddie, as we all know, got her start in the WWE industry owing to her husband, Eddie Guerrero, who is also a professional wrestler. Similarly, Eddie and Vickie married in 1990 after dating for three years.

Shaul Marie Guerrero, born in 1990, and Sherilyn Amber Guerrero, born in 1995, are their two children.

Vickie was the stepmother of Kaylie, born in 2002, in addition to their own kids. Kaylie Mahoney is the daughter of her late husband, Eddie, and Tara Mahoney. When Eddie and Vickie were apart for a while, they dated.

Unfortunately, their marriage fell apart after her husband, Eddie, died. Eddie was found dead in his room at The Marriot Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 13, 2005. He apparently died of sudden heart failure.

Vickie didn’t date for a decade after her husband died, instead of focusing exclusively on WWE.

She quickly ascended to the level of villain and was despised by nearly all of the show’s viewers. Her marriage to wrestler Edge was just for show and was far from reality.

Vickie began dating Kris Benson after her departure from the show. Finally, Guerrero and Benson announced their engagement on June 18, 2015, and the pair married on September 12, 2015.

They also have no children at the moment but spend significant time with their children from prior relationships. Not to mention, the pair have avoided controversies, and it doesn’t appear that they will split anytime soon.
