He was selected third overall in the CHL Import Draft later that year, in June, by the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.
Florida Panthers
Rask agreed to a three-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes on October 20, 2011. He scored 10 points while playing for the Hitmen, making him the team’s Rookie of the Year.
Rask played intermittently for the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League during his time with the group.
At that time, he also participated in the 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships for Team Sweden.
His NHL debut didn’t happen until October 10, 2014, after a protracted voyage with the other leagues.

The New York Islanders were the team that it was against. Rask continued to have the Los Angeles Kings as his major opponent.
Rask also recorded a career-high 48 points after the 2014–15 campaign, and the following year, he was named the team’s alternate captain.
He was co-champion with Jeff Skinner, Justin Faulk, and Jordan Staal.
Rask has appeared in 339 games and scored 163 points for the Hurricanes overall (0.480 points per game).
Wild Minnesota
In exchange for winger Nino Niederreiter, the Carolina Hurricanes dealt Rask to the Minnesota Wild on January 17, 2019.

Victor Rask’s Accomplishments and Injuries
Rask has sustained his fair share of wounds while competing as an athlete. Rask struggled with an eye injury on August 17, 2017, keeping him away from the games for three to four days.
Victor missed two games while he was employed. Later, on October 22, 2018, Rask was once more placed on the injured list due to a foot ailment for two to four weeks and missed four games.
Similar to this, Rask had to have hand surgery in September 2018 as a result of an incident he had while cooking.
