Vladimir Duthiers is an American TV journalist who worked for CNN and now is serving CBS News since 2014. He is an award-winner journalist and reporter. He also covered the dangerous news of the kidnap of the schoolgirls by Boko Haram from Nigeria.
Vladimir Duthiers and his early life
Vladimir was born on 21 December 1969 in New York City. He was raised in the same city and is the son of immigrants from Haiti. He has partial French ethnicity. He is fluent in Haitian Creole and also French. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and did a major in journalism and later focused on political science. Talking about his parents, Vladimir had said:

After graduating in 1991, Vladimir began to work on Wall Street where he was in the financial services industry. In 1993, he began work with the asset management firm called AllianceBernstein where he did so well that he was promoted to the level of Managing Director and was responsible for the business development in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Vladimir came back to do part-time studies in broadcast journalism and for this, he joined the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
While studying at Columbia, he also joined CNN in 2009 and first did an internship with this channel before moving on to work as a production assistant. He was working with Amanpour and Anderson Cooper 3600. He visited Haiti immediately after its 2010 Earthquake with his CNN team and reported from the ground there. He was the interpreter as well as a production assistant. The team won two Emmy awards for the excellent coverage.
Vladimir then went to Nigeria in the capacity of an international correspondent. He reported on the kidnapping of the schoolgirls by Boko Haram and for this, he again won a Peabody award. He also covered the military intervention in Mali. Several other vital events of the region were reported by Vladimir. He was in several countries such as Japan, Seoul, Senegal, and the like and covered visits of prominent personalities to these countries.
Vladimir joined CBS in August 2014 as a news correspondent. He is now based in NY and works for CBS This Morning, the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley, CBS News Sunday Morning, and for other CBS News Platforms. He works as an anchor for CBSN which is the streaming news channel.
Vladimir is invited for guest lectures and has also spoken at the University of Rhode Island who also offered him an honorary doctorate. He has an excellent net worth but the exact value is unknown.
